So I wanted to share with you a little bit more on Future Health Bio Bank & exactly why we opted for cord blood banking.

I was put in contact with lovely lady called Dawn who is their phlebotomist & she informed us exactly what we needed to ask the midwife to do on the day (i.e. clamping the cord etc). Everything was taken care of by both the brilliant NHS staff and Dawn so we could focus on looking after our new born baby girl. Dawn was then there on the day to collect the sample & then it is delivered to their laboratory. A few weeks later we received an update that our sample was sufficient and viable for future use.
